Volunteer for Gram Chetna Kendra (GCK), which translates to Village Awareness Center.
We are looking for 2 brave interns who can bring new innovations to NGO and make impact for rural masses.
The Mission:
GCK's mission is to bring awareness among rural populace through democratic means so as to empower them and help them in gaining control over all factors that affect their individual life and community at large.
Our Goal:
GCK's goal is to initiate a catalytic intervention that will encourage the rural population to take the advancement of their lives into their own hands through ensuring socio-economic self-reliance for the deprived and poverty stricken rural masses.
Starting date: September-December, 6-8 weeks
Accommodation provided. Interns will stay in NGO place (Village), 50 km far from Jaipur.

Volunteer for HEDCON (Health, Environment and Development Consortium)
HEDCON focused on two issues that are of great importance to the people of Rajasthan; water management and human rights. However, through the development of these two topics HEDCON has also been involved with work on disaster management, education, empowerment of women and the elderly, HIV/AIDS, health promotion, food security, livelihoods, agriculture policy and women and child labour. HEDCON also conducts projects which seek to influence policy makers at both the state and national level.
